Ningxia Nitro – Gettin’ it Done! (part 1)

This is the story of today. About how I was able manage raging thoughts, anxious feelings, and complete lack of motivation – and turn the day around to get things done

I woke up this morning feeling blah. First off, I forgot to take my Thyroid supplement last night, AND I went to bed late, and that just started a chain reaction of emotions and stinkin thinkin this morning.  I was tired and unmotivated, my thoughts were depressing and my self-talk was very negative. I stood around in my kitchen and wasted a ton of time zoned out on my phone, desperately hoping for someone to talk to and avoiding productivity in general. My Marco Polo group was quiet this morning and all of my primary people were tied up today doing other things. I knew I should be cleaning my house and getting on with my work day, and that everything I needed to do to tidy up my house could have easily been tackled in a few minutes had I just the focus to do it. So of course, I was beating myself up for that and as the morning went on, I found myself either pacing, or laying on the couch, or staring at my phone – just not a good place and with no motivation to change any of it.

And then I made myself snap out of it, and I suddenly felt productive again and I ended up feeling pleased with my day’s work. (ta-daaa!!!)

Wait. What? 

Believe me, I’m not making light of the situation – it’s a really overwhelming feeling when your mind starts to race and go haywire on all the things that are perceivably wrong with life. And oh friend….I have been there for days at a time in the past.  I really try not to stay there for long anymore, and be proactive with my game plan to pull myself up by the bootstraps. 

But HOW do you do that? How do you jump off the merry-go-round? It really is not that easy to just go from the slumps to the opposite extremes. It isn’t. But I’m going to show you my thought process. 

I’ll show you an example of the mental process I go through to break out of the downward spiral and correct my course.  I actually keep this bulleted list in my notes on my phone, so that I can go through it and identify what is needed or lacking. You’ll find it in PART 2 of this post {Taming the Stress Monster}.

But first…before anything else…I go straight to the fridge and grab a Ningxia Nitro.  

I’m serious.

As in, I do not pass GO or collect $200 until this step is complete and the Nitro is down the hatch.  It just makes the whole process feel much more…well…rational.

It brings thoughts back to center and helps me to focus. It clears my brain fog – and I find that I actually do have the energy to do things, and I feel motivated to do things again.

I am better able to to mentally organize my priorities and I can identify ways to create productivity in my day. It helps me to focus on tasks and complete them quickly and effectively, instead of them taking all day and making me feel frustrated that I “can’t” get anything done

Nitro helps me to speak clearly – I am a writer, and I like to organize my thoughts, but when I speak I often skip over important points that I wanted to make and get flustered and trip over myself. So a Nitro is always a must before teaching a class or a Facebook live or making a presentation. 

It helps me to settle racing thoughts and then I am able to identify the lies and fight back with the truth of God’s Word. I have an easier time shifting my thoughts to the positive, instead of camping out on issues that are out of my control. 

Suddenly, I’m in a GOOD mood,.I even feel JOYFUL and HAPPY, and pleased with myself that suddenly, the things are getting done. Life is happening, and I’m keeping up. 

For all of these reasons, Nitro is absolutely a critical component in my mental health, self-care toolbox!  It’s a pick-me-up without the jitters or a crash later on. And as with any Young Living product, it’s completely plant-based, toxin-free, and without any questionable ingredients.
